Military Advanced Naval Tactical Assault

The Novel

More people have visited the moon, than have found their way to the bottom of the ocean.

Test piloting the military's latest top secret assault submarine, in the most inhospitable environment on the planet, a reckless test pilot teams up with a reclusive scientist.

What they find below, will change everything above.

“Knowledge of the oceans is more than a matter of curiosity. Our very survival may depend on it.”

- John F. Kennedy

About Me

I'm a cardboardnaut.

As a kid I created countless spaceships with nothing but a large cardboard box and a set of crayons or markers. The USS Frigidaire was my largest. It was an epic, two-manned craft. I would take those ships explore the galaxy, typically being called on to fight off evil-doers and save Earth in the process.

As an adult, my love for science fiction and a vision of what the world may be like in the not too distant future never waned. Neither did my desire to save the planet.

Deep Blue began as a game I was developing for the xBox 360. It was simply a backstory I created to support the game. But the more the game and story developed, the more I realized it made a much stronger story than it did a game.

Working in Dallas, there was a lot of traffic which gave me plenty of time to think. After several years of watching the story play like a movie in my head I thought maybe it was time to write it down on paper.

And thus began the journey to turn "Deep Blue" from a mental movie, in to a full blown novel.

“Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.”

- André Gide

Behind the Science

It may be 2063 in the world of "Deep Blue", but a lot of the technology in the book is based off things science is developing right now.
